Swift Lite International is the original Swift Lite Charcoal manufacturer in the UK with production facilities since 1959.

The fast lighting charcoal from Swift-Lite is a smokeless and odourless product originally designed for religious Incense burning. The product was re-developed in the 1980’s and has become as a major global brand as a heat source for Shisha pipe smoking.

Swift Lite charcoal uses sustainable wood sources and only uses specially selected species of timber in order to give a hotter and stronger product.

The tablet can be lit simply with a match and after a few seconds will generate a high heat for a considerable amount of time. For smoking the temperature is important so as to heat the molasses without burning or scorching.

Swift Lite Charcoal tablets are also still widely used for incense burning for religious and recreational use.

Quick Lighting Charcoal was first produced in 1959 in London by B L Delaunay and Co Ltd., The company was taken over by Blackman, Pavie and Ladden Ltd in 1982 when the Swift Lite Charcoal name was registered. The company expanded significantly over the next 30 years. Over the last 5 years with our skill and attention to quality control the company now operates its production in the Far East under license.

Swift-lite is a family-owned business and we value a good working relationship as the most important aspect of a successful and sustainable business.

We prefer to see our clients as friends as oppose to customers, we are happy to discuss licensing our exclusive trademarks and share our expertise with anyone looking to join us in a trade partnership.

Export sales of Swift Lite Charcoal has expanded significantly since the companies origins. COUNTERFEIT

Unfortunately, we know that Swift-Lite has become the target of illegal counterfeit products. These fake products are of a much lower quality than genuine Swift-Lite charcoal. If the tablet produces a lot of smoke, explodes or releases a strong unpleasant smell then you most likely have got a counterfeit product.

If you are in any doubt of the product's authenticity, please do not hesitate to contact our UK offices where we would be happy to check the distributor to our official records for you. We have a special unique batch code printed on a security label on each of our boxes, and therefore we would be able to inform you immediately whether we authorised the product.

It is an illegal offence to import, trade, distribute or sell any counterfiet Swift-Lite products and we will always prosecute anyone found to be doing so. No other company than Swift-Lite International can produce, import, export, distribute and sell these products.

The box displayed here is in no way connected with Swift-Lite. The charcoal comes from an undefined factory and it is attempting to pass off as the famous Swift-Lite EXCELSIOR brand.

Please do not buy this charcoal as it is dangerous and unsafe for use. After tests by our team we experience high levels of smoke and explosive tablets which is an extreme fire hazard.
